AML Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-28

Policy objective

Lizaro maintains anti-money-laundering controls to prevent criminal funds entering the gambling ecosystem. Procedures follow UK Gambling Commission Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice plus applicable Proceeds of Crime Act requirements.

Customer due diligence

Identity verification runs at registration and before first withdrawal. Enhanced due diligence applies to high-value deposits above £2,000, rapid deposit-withdrawal cycles and politically exposed persons. Source-of-funds documentation may be requested for unusual activity.

Transaction monitoring

Automated systems flag structuring, third-party payments, chargebacks and geographic anomalies. Compliance analysts review alerts and may freeze accounts pending investigation. Suspicious activity reports are filed with the National Crime Agency when thresholds are met.

Prohibited conduct

Using the platform to transfer funds between unrelated parties, layering proceeds of crime or circumventing sanctions is forbidden. Accounts involved in such activity are closed and balances may be withheld pending authority direction.

Record keeping

AML records including verification documents, transaction logs and investigation notes are retained for at least five years after account closure or the date of the transaction, whichever is later.

Staff responsibilities

Employees complete annual AML training and report suspicious behaviour through internal escalation channels. Failure to comply with reporting duties may result in regulatory penalties for both the individual and the operator.
